Digi pak with cd and dvd.

This is my first draft of my Digi-pak. I have kept the CD's in colour as I feel it creates an effect that look really cool. I also think that it keeps continuity with the poster having red text on it. I used 4 extra images including the 2 from my CD front cover drafts. The forest image was also used again behind 1 of the CD's and a cartoon image of Emily behind the other. I still have be spines to be added and I want to see what the whole thing looks like in Black and White.

Technology that i have used.

This is the editing suite that i have been working on to produce my final music video. We have been working on editing pro.

This is the camera that i have filmed all of my work with.

This is a card reader, so once i have filmed i can transfer my work onto my project file.

These are our main computers at college. These can be used to access web 2.0 and youtube for research and to upload my own videos on my youtube account and place them onto my blog.

This is an SD card. This is a storing card that holds all of my work in the camera when filming.

This is a tripod. It allows a still shot to be taken by holding the camera still, instead of holding it with your hands.

By using all of this technology it has allowed great wonders to happen and allowed easier access to produce a great piece of work. Without all of the latest technology the video would not have a professional output and would not be graded as well.

Filming update. 24/03/14

Today Emily and I were supposed to meet up at South Cave, for my last filming location and shooting day. I was supposed to be filming the blank scenes shown in my drafts that I have posted. Due to the weather conditions we were unable to film as it was so foggy you could not see anything, therefor are hoping to re-schedule the filming day to tomorrow or another day.

My second Draft, music video

Since my last draft i have been to film at bridlington beach, therefor a lot of the blank spaces that were in my first draft have now been filled with new shots. However the editing is still not complete and due to the foggy weather i haven't been able to get a chance to film the outside forest filming that will fill the blank spaces in this draft. My audience feedback from this video was very positive and I'm excited to finish the final draft.

James weston said "The pictures overlapping the first three shots look really cool"

"You've done a great job of syncing the lip singing with the audio"

"The sun inside the eye zoom looks really cool"

"The bath scene is so cool, the hair creeping over is creep but suits the genre and the individual ideology of Florence."

"The swap of the feet on the beach to the shot on the stairs is a good cut and again is a great effect."

"The way you have made each picture disappear on the bath scene is really effective and the fact you got them dissapearing on the beat of the audio is even better".

He also said that the black and white effect throughout the video with hints of colour suits the genre especially" I chose this as the effect florence has on her ancillary texts looks really good so i counted the colour scheme into my own ancillary texts and music video"

Another peer had her own feed back.

Saskia said "Nice use of black and white in the overlapping scenes and with the genre of the song"

"The narrative comes through really clearly, it also fits with the lyrics of the song and is easy to follow"

"The editing flows really well, especially in the bath scene"

"I love the wave over the high angle shot of the bath"

"There is nice continuity with the walking on the sand to walking up the stairs"

For improvement she said:

"Add more transitions and effects between shots to show the flow in the video"

"Fill the gaps asap to see a better outcome"

Filming Diary- Shoot 6 (15/03/14)

Dear Filming Diary,

Today we went to the beach. It was a lot colder than expected so a lot of changes to my storyboard were needed.

We meet at Emily's for around half past one, and began preparing hair and make-up, as once at the beach there is no where to get changed nor prepare make-up and hair. We placed the dresses that we were going to wear underneath our trackies and hoodies and then set of in emily's car. Emily decided to drive yet we split the cost of petrol.

Once there we found a suitable place to pay and display, we took our bags and camera and went to the beach front. As the weather was freezing we decided to film as quickly as possible by deciding which scenes were to be shot before we started filming. I also needed filming of the water its-self and crashing waves, which i did before starting filming also so that we didn't become cold.
The water was ice cold and so going into the sea above knee level was out of the question, so a lot of scenes have changed to filming in the bath, such as the underwater shot and the shot with the head just above the water.

Once we started filming, we managed to get a lot of scenes done very quickly. And finished within an hour or so of arriving. Leaving us enough time to grab and ice-cream and a coffee to warm up.

Today's shoot was the last of all my filming. I feel very happy that i have accomplished all my filming and a lot in the way i planned and though out.

Video diary- Shoot 5 (8/03/14)

Dear filming diary,

Today i shot the scenes with Emily running in the fields, and the scenes of Emily near the pond and the wooden dock. To film this we went to one of my fields over the railway and took a tripod and camera. To make sure we were being safe and aware, we carried everything in a light bag, and closed and opened the gates the the railway carefully. We crossed after looking both ways and then began are filming once safely at the other side. This shoot was small, and everything was completed within an hour or so. Due to unfortunate events where i have twisted my knee i could no longer run after Emily, creating a tracking camera shot. So i changed my idea to a pan that followed emily running both from left to right and right to left. I also filmed Emily with a zoomed in shot showing her face whilst running and from multiple body shots and angles. This will help me to pick the right shot and video that i need for my editing. Once we finished filming at my house of Emily running in the field we then went to Emily's house and filmed a bonfire for her work, which i managed to film the smoke cloud for my work. We then went to her lakes and filmed the scenes of emily walking along a long wooden dock and reaching for a green light. There wasn't a green light so either in editing or just leaving it out i will arrange what to place in my video and what not to.

Today has been a good day.

Write on next shoot,

xoxo
